Giving Blood

Blood donation is a vital service in every country. In the UK this is all managed by the National Blood Service, and it does a very good job indeed.

Perhaps it could improve though? I'm sure all donors would feel better if their donation was more efficiently used. After all, there's no telling whether the donation is actually required at that point in time.
